Kim Smith

I came across the work of Kim Smith lookin for blogs on the internet, her work is quite whimsical and she has created a good many illustrations for childrens books, these two being my favourite. Some of her work looks almost 3d as if it has been cut out and layered like a theatre set production. I think the characters and some of the shapes of which she captures elements such as the trees in the piece above are beautiful, simple, yet effective!
